I thought I would share a little of what I have been up to during recess. I realise that this may not be typical, because as a new MP, much of my time has been spent on sorting out a constituency office, and recruiting people to work for me.
A significant amount of the work of an MP is ‘casework’ - helping people who come to you with specific problems. Over the summer, much of my focus has been on supporting constituents who urgently need my help.
Since my election as MP for Mid Sussex, numerous residents in Haywards Heath have contacted me with concerns about missed postal deliveries. To better understand the situation, I recently visited the Haywards Heath Sorting Office
