With the Morrisons Daily on Keymer Road set to close, it is vital that a new home is found for the Post Office counter currently located in the shop.
The Hassocks Post Office is well used and offers vital postal, banking, and bill-paying services. Alison Bennett MP knows that it is crucial for these services the remain accessible for residents and is working to secure the future of a Post Office in Hassocks.
Alison has met with representatives from Morrisons and the Post Office to discuss the next steps.
In their meeting with Alison, the Post Office has committed to finding a new location for services in Hassocks village.
Alison wrote to a number of businesses in the village, asking if they would be willing to provide new a home for a Post Office counter on their premises. The Post Office have subsequently confirmed to Alison that they have had a number of applicants and are now working through their review process. Alison will continue to work to make sure Post Office services are available in Hassocks.
