Rodney Jackson

Rodney has lived in Hurstpierpoint for nearly 60 years and contributed to village life as a teacher, councillor and scout leader.

Now retired, Rodney was a Chemistry Teacher for 24 years and worked for HM Inspector of Health and Safety (Chemicals Division) for 18 years.

A long-serving member of Hurstpierpoint & Sayers Common Parish Council, Rodney was elected to Mid Sussex District Council in 2019. Since then, he has been a strong voice on the District Planning Committee for scrutinising developments in our area.

Rodney spent 26 years as Scout Leader/Group Scout Leader of the 1st Hurstpierpoint Scout Group. He is now retired from the role, but is still an enthusiastic supporter of the Mid-Sussex Scouts.
