The Environment Election - join Baroness Kate Parminter and Robert Eggleston

17 Nov 2019

With widespread plastic pollution in our oceans and rapidly melting ice caps, urgent policies are required to improve our environment and to slow down climate change. Join us to hear Baroness Kate Parminter and Robert Eggleston on why this is an "environmental election", Tuesday 3rd December at East Court in East Grinstead.

Kate successfully campaigned to introduce a 5p charge on plastic bag usage to reduce the over-reliance on a product that is incredibly damaging to the environment. Sales of single-use bags by big supermarkets have fallen 90% since the 5p charge was introduced. Robert Eggleston, the Lib Dem parliamentary candidate in Mid Sussex, is an environmental activist who has formulated the Liberal Democrat's conference policy on single-use plastics.

Venue: Main Hall, East Court, College Lane, East Grinstead, West Sussex RH19 3LT

Date: Tuesday 3rd December

Time: 19:00 for a 19:30 start, ending at 21:30

There will be time for discussion, questions and answers.
