According to Election Maps UK1, Mid Sussex is in line to be won by Liberal Democrat candidate Alison Bennett at the next general election.

The new constituency boundaries which were finalised earlier this summer2 play to the Liberal Democrats’ areas of strength in Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and the surrounding villages. These strengths were made abundantly clear in the local elections earlier this year which saw the Lib Dems become the largest party on the District Council.

Mid Sussex Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate, Alison Bennett said: “Mid Sussex is going to be a really close fight between the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives at the next general election. Whilst this is only a projection, it gives hope to everyone here who wants to have a hand in showing this awful Conservative government the door. Every vote is going to count, and I will be doing all I can to build the trust and support of Mid Sussex residents.”
